CBCT

CBCT at Endodontic Unlimited

Three-dimensional Cone Beam CT (CBCT) gives our team a clear, 360º view of teeth, roots, bone, and surrounding structures—so we can see what standard 2D x-rays often miss. That extra detail matters for endodontics: hidden canals, vertical root fractures, resorption, tiny lesions, and complex anatomy become easier to detect, locate, and plan around.

Why it’s different

Unlike a flat x-ray, CBCT produces a volumetric scan that distinguishes bone, teeth, nerves, and soft tissue with far fewer overlaps and distortions. We can scroll through ultra-thin slices, zoom into areas of concern, take precise measurements, and evaluate the problem from multiple angles. The result is greater diagnostic confidence and a treatment plan tailored to exactly what’s happening—not guesswork.

Dose & safety

We use targeted, low-dose protocols and small fields of view focused only on the area of interest. That means you get the information needed for a sound decision while keeping exposure as low as reasonably achievable. For many endodontic questions, one well-planned CBCT scan replaces multiple rounds of 2D images.

What this means for you

Patient experience

A scan typically takes seconds, is comfortable, and produces images we can review together right away. You’ll see exactly what we see, and we’ll explain options clearly so you can choose your next step with confidence.
